Ⅰ Overview

HL3-2A mixed flow type low-noise fan is a kind of new fan that is between axial flow type fan and centrifugal fan. Being novel in design, compact in structure, small in volume, light in weight and convenient in installation, this fan can save power by 20% compared with old centrifugal fan. When its rotation speed is less than 2000r/min, the noise is lower than 75dB(A). When the fan is connected to pipeline and mounted inside air-conditioner cabinet, the noise is lower than 70dB(A). It can replace centrifugal fan of medium and low pressure that is less than 2000Pa and be widely applied to ventilation and dedusting in industrial and civil buildings.
PYHL-14A high temperature smoke exhaust fan does not only have the performance of HL3-2A fan, but also can normally run for 1 hour in ambient temperature around 280℃. With double function of ventilation and high-temperature smoke exhaust, the fan is applicable for fire protection accessories of underground tunnel and underground warehouse. It is well accepted by design institutions and users.


Ⅱ Structural features
The fan is mainly consisted of parts such as impeller, casing, inlet collector, flow deflector and motor, etc. The impeller is welded to the wheel casing by 6 twisted wing-shape pieces characterized by meridian acceleration. They have excellent aerodynamic performance after being tested by dynamic balance and acceleration.
The casing is in the shape of cylinder, connected to air collector with silencing function as a whole. There is a flow deflector in the outlet and excellent distribution of air flow in stable pressure.
Secondary air intake is designed in PYHL-14A fan to lower the requirement of motor for environment to achieve the objective of fire fighting and smoke exhausting.


Ⅲ Purpose
HL3-2A mixed flow type fan is used for ventilation; PYHL-14A high temperature smoke exhaust mixed flow fan can be used for both high-temperature smoke exhaust and ventilation. The conditions for application are as following:
1. Location of application: HL3-2A is applicable to ventilation of air-conditioning project of refrigeration, air-conditioning, textile and shipbuilding and civil building, etc.
PYHL-14A is used for high temperature smoke exhaustion in tunnel, underground garage and metallurgy, etc. In case of fire, it can rapidly exhaust the smoke and decrease the temperature to assist firefighters to enter fire area for fire extinguishing, thus being required facility for fire safety.
2. Type of gas transmitted: air and other gas that is resistant to spontaneous combustion, non-corrosive and free from viscous substance. Explosion-proof mixed flow fan can be used under special condition.
3. Impurities in the gas: viscous substance in the gas is not permitted and dust and hard particles contained shall not be greater than 150mg/m3.
4. Temperature of the gas: gas temperature of HL3-2A fan shall not exceed 80℃, and working temperature of gas in PYHL-14A fan is less than or equal to 280℃.


Ⅳ Selection of fan performance
1. Check Performance Table for performance of fans. The performances listed in the table are ones within scope of highest efficiency, divided into five points of performance according to flow and Performance Table prevailing at the time of selection.
2. Performance selection table contains performances under standard situation, so the performances required by either technical documents or order shall be in accordance with standard conditions. In standard status, the atmospheric pressure P=101325Pa.t=20℃ and relative humidity=50%. Conversion is to be performed using relevant formula when the actual conditions of application do not match the above mentioned situations.
3. The fan can be installed horizontally or vertically, and vertical installation shall be specified at the time of ordering. Should you have any special requirements in terms of performance specifications such as flow, pressure and installation, we will otherwise design and produce the fan for you.
4. The flow value of PYHL-14A series fan is that of high-temperature air of 280℃, 5% higher or lower than the flow value of generally selected HL3-2A fan.
